Questions for reflection on the Transfiguration (Luke 9):
- Why would the transfiguration be surrounded by statements about Jesus’ death (16:21-25; 17:9,22-23)?
- Did something happen to Jesus? Or was something revealed about Jesus?
- Peter seems to want to prolong this moment? Do you remember a time that you wanted to prolong? Why experience this and then have to move on from it?
- If you heard God say to listen to someone, what kind of thing would you expect them to say?
