[00:00:52]  Gospel Reading - John 3:14-21
[00:02:15]  Sermon - Rev.  Chris Roth
[00:19:41]  Blessing and Dismissal

Questions for reflection on John 3:14-21
  1. Read Numbers 21:4-9. Why do you think Jesus used this story?
  2. Can you relate to the grumbling Hebrews (Exodus 16, Exodus 17, Numbers 11)? In what ways do you grumble?
  3. Turning away from God in numbers results in snake bites in Numbers 21. Have you ever felt a “snake bite” as a consequence of turning away from God? Have you ever become “sick through [your] sinful ways” (Psalm 107:17)?
  4. What does it mean to have trust in God the way the Hebrews trusted the bronze serpent?
Today's bulletin can be found here.
Rev. Chris Roth posts the text of the sermons on his blog.
