Questions for reflection on prayer
- Would you define Moses’ interaction with God as prayer (Exodus 3)? Why or why not?
- 1 John 5:15-16 says “if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.” What is praying “according to his will”?
- Jesus says, ”For everyone who asks receives” (Luke 11:10). How do we understand Jesus’ own “unanswered” prayer in Luke 22:42- “remove this cup from me”?
