Questions for reflection on Matthew 5:13-20:
  1. Jesus uses both salt and light to talk about our presence and actions in the world. In what way are you ‘salt’ and ‘light’ at work, at school, at home, in your neighborhood, and among your friends?
  2. What does Jesus mean when he says “unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”? And “I have come not to abolish [the Law and the Prophets] but to fulfill”?
