Questions for reflection on John 1:29-42:
  1. Why was Jesus called Lamb of God by John (1:29; 1:36)? Aren’t there more dignified animals to be called (e.g. Lion of Judah)?
  2. Consider Andrew’s action (1:40-42). What caused him to seek out his brother? How might the Christian story have been different if he hadn’t called his brother?
  3. John and Andrew both point others to Jesus. They believed that Jesus was someone worth making a fuss about. Consider how you might point others to Jesus. Contemplate the feelings that arise in you when you consider this.
