Questions for reflection on Galatians 2:15-21:

  1. What is the most important part of your identity? If you were to describe your “self” what would come to mind as most essential?
  2. As you read today’s passage what is the most important part of our identity according to Paul?
  3. How much do your answers to #1 and #2 line up? Why?
  4. In some ways it is good to have a variety of different kinds of churches to serve a variety of different people. In other ways it is not good because these can create artificial divisions in the church. Why wasn’t Paul okay with just establishing a church for Gentiles (non-Jews) and also a Jewish Church? Wouldn’t that just make everyone more comfortable?
