Questions for reflection on Luke 13:1-9:
  1. What does it mean to be a ‘sinner’?
  2. What is your understanding of ‘repentance’?
  3. Have you ever suffered and thought it was due to your sin? How does this Gospel reading inform your understanding? (see the book of Job, and John 9:2)
  4. What is your understanding of “Original Sin”? (Rom 3:23)
  5. What does the fruit of the fig tree represent?  Who is the gardener?
Disciple Steps:
  • Count small graces around you that you are thankful for (sunshine, hot coffee, etc.) Start your day thanking God for these.
  • Do something simple to bless someone this week. For added fun, do it secretly.
